EducationSERVING AREA: Upper North Shore QUALIFICATION: PhD in physics (USYD) SUBJECT EXPERTISE: Maths & Physics (Preliminary/HSC)
ExperienceI have 10 years experience as a high school tutor. Prior to devoting my time in providing private tutoring services, I used to be a teacher at a prestigious tuition school in Sydney's lower North Shore region.
I have a PhD in Physics from Sydney University and have briefly taught at university levels during my doctorate. My specialty subjects are preliminary/HSC maths & physics.
I also have a Masters degree in intellectual property law, which will no doubt assist in student's written and reasoning skills in tackling physics questions. I lecture part time at the UTS law school.
(2017 rates: $90 per hour, and reduced for an intro session)
HobbiesMy passion lies in the encouraging young kids to motivate themselves in learning for their own benefits, instead of the school's or anyone else's.

Got to know Joe from a friend's brother tutored by Joe. I am a non-BSc student taking an elective in physics, so it was great to have Joe help me with understanding the basics. He has a law background which came in handy for my physics essay assignment.
Very good at teaching physics, many topics now makes sense to me. Helped me with an assignment just handed in, waiting for marks. Will next ask Joe for help on preparing a quiz
Joe is a very patient tutor and his explanation is easy to follow. He often goes over the clock but never charges more. I think he has been teaching part time at a Chatswood coaching college for a few years now. Joe definitely knows his subjects and knows how to teach. He is a PhD, which for me is a minimum for tutor nowadays.
