Program Description Impart tailored lessons to meet student’s needs. Aim to assist students learn Mandarin, whether for daily conversation, travel or business. Teaching contents include PinYin (pronunciation), reading, writing, grammatical expression, and conversation practice. Several teaching materials can be chosen by students or use my own designed syllabus according to the students’ needs. Teaching Approach My teaching approach is quite flexible. Basically, I will design my curriculum according to student with different levels. For beginners, I will focus on PinYin(pronunciation), basic grammar, simple characters and daily conversation in order to build a sound foundation for further study. For intermediates and advanced learners, I usually concentrate on enhancing learner’s communicative competence. I will choose some topics covering Chinese idioms, cultures and tradition to discuss during class. Teaching Experience I have taught many students in China and Sydney with different levels. They all have different requests on learning Chinese. I especially like telling Chinese story with my students, who are curious about Chinese tradition. It is a best way to illustrate Chinese Culture to Western students to some extent.
