IB results: OVERALL - 44 English A HL - 7 Maths SL - 7 Chemistry SL - 7 Business and Management HL - 7 Economics SL - 7 German B HL - 6 Previous tutoring experience: - For Business and Management SL/HL, Economics SL/HL: For these two subjects, I have run one on one sessions with my peers who were struggling with their INTERNAL ASSESSMENTS (IAs). By guiding them along the process through helping them choose their topic, introducing them to the format of the IA, proof-reading and editing, these 2 students both achieved 45/45 in their IA. - For English HL/SL: For English, I also ran one on one sessions with a peer to help him improve his PAPER 1 UNSEEN COMMENTARY marks. By providing my own commentaries as samples, proof-reading his commentaries, and teaching him the best way to approach a commentary, he improved his mark from 14/20 to 18/20 by the end of the year. For the PAPER 2 COMPARATIVE ESSAY, I also taught the best way to approach both the complexities and ambiguities of any question, as well as understanding the main features of both texts on a comparative basis. Teaching method: Unlike most tutors, my services extend beyond the weekly one on one session. I believe in maintaining a constant dialogue with the student throughout the week in order to track the students progress, and best prepare materials to tailor the lesson to the students' needs. Problems may arise during the week which require attention and therefore by communicating these problems to me I can address them competently next lesson or even in an email. These problems often are things like - difficulty understanding a concept, preparation for next exam and especially hardship in the IA. I will always be available for emails from the student to answer his/her queries. Specialised IA Tutoring: I can also offer tutoring just for the IA's, as many students can cope with content of the subject, but not applying it to the IA the way the IB wants it. My IA results were: Economics SL - 42/45 English HL Written Assignment - 23/25 English HL IOP/IOC - 29/30 Maths SL - 19/20 Business and Management HL - 24/25
