Experience
I currently work as a tutor for a private tutoring company, and I take clients independently. I have previous tutoring experience with English, maths, physics, chemistry, and economics. I have worked with students between year 3 and postgraduate university. The most enjoyable part of learning for me is when you finally understand something for the first time. I enjoy teaching because I can spark these moments in others. When teaching an idea, I typically follow three steps, including asking leading questions so that the student can figure out a problem themselves and understand the key ideas underlying what is being taught. This often involves thinking about what would happen in an analogous situation. I find leading questions also help to break down problems into smaller and easier steps. The second step is asking the student to explain the concept to me, ensuring that the student understands the concepts and can practice articulating them. The third step is completing a practice problem to ensure that the student can answer the questions without my help. I scored E4 in 3 & 4 unit math and Band 6 in physics and economics. My ATAR score was 97.90.

Weekends at any time, Monday after 4PM, Tuesday at any time, Thursday after 4PM, Friday in the morning, Friday in the afternoon

Hobbies
I enjoy sports like tennis and rowing and I also have a weakness for a good game of chess (which I count as a sport as well).
