I have a Bachelor of Aeronautical Space Engineering degree from Sydney University and a Ph.D. in Engineering.
Experience
I have 10 years of experience as a professional HSC maths teacher. I am also the managing director of two private tutoring institutions and a member of university academic staff, so I know what it takes to help students of all levels pursue their educational goals. Maintaining a student's interest is the key to successful educational outcomes. I can leverage my engineering background to introduce concepts through the lens of how they are used in the real world, making them feel more beneficial to learn. I can also backtrack to any foundational concepts that my student needs to review, preparing them for more grade-appropriate material. I may even ask a pupil to explain concepts back to me to determine how much of it they have truly absorbed, taking any corrective action as necessary.
