Education
I earned my master's degree in foreign languages and culture. I majored in German at the University of Pisa, Italy. I have a Diploma of Teaching, teaching accreditation from the Italian Education Standard Authority.
Experience
I have taught both Italian and German in universities and schools worldwide, including at Sydney University, for seven years. I have developed a wide range of skills and knowledge, including designing and delivering effective language teaching programs and courses, coordination and support of strategic projects within a language department, collaborating and liaising with multiple organizations and stakeholders. I am creative and actively look for new ways of doing things relevant to curricula-based courses, particularly for adult learning. For example, at the University of Sydney, I developed and taught the "Made in Italy" course. It aims at better preparing students for the workplace, partly by developing attributes required by employers and partly by offering opportunities through placements at Italian companies in Sydney. Students and my peers found the course to be a valuable contribution to the Italian department.
