Education
I am currently a third year medical Student at University of Sydney. I am knowledgeable and able to help tutor in pre-clinical medicine across all subject areas. Additionally, I hold both a Masters of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Calgary. During my undergraduate and graduate studies I gained extensive knowledge in Biochemistry, General Biology, Plant Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology and Microbiology. I am also very knowledgeable in lower University level Chemistry. My thesis was in Cancer Biology, specifically cell signalling and mitosis, focusing on protein-protein interactions and their affect on a dividing cell.
Experience
During my graduate career, I worked as Teaching Assistant for a number of courses at my University including: Introduction to Biochemistry, Biochemistry for non-Biology Majors, Metabolism and Advance Biochemistry Laboratory Techniques I and II. While teaching these courses I was responsible for planning, lecturing, hand-on laboratory teaching as well as grading and marking, providing me with the skills required to work as a tutor.
