Education

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish from the University of New South Wales. I also earned my Diploma in Arts with Distinction, majoring in Latin, in Sydney, Australia.

Experience

I have been teaching Latin for nearly 30 years for students in year 7 through HSC Extension students. I have been tutoring, both by Skype and in person, for four years. For the past 15 years, I have written workbooks for HSC Continuers and Extension courses, which are purchased by nearly all schools in New South Wales that teach Latin. The workbooks for the 2019 HSC are Cicero's 'Pro Archia', Virgil's 'Aeneid Book 1', and Historiography (Livy and Tacitus). I am available to tutor students in years 11 and 12 in Latin. I have the experience required to help students learn the language from the fundamentals through true fluency. I can help my students with daily coursework and help them prepare for classroom tests and projects.

Latin has been my passion since I resumed studying it for the Diploma in Arts and I have great enjoyment writing not only the HSC workbooks but also textbooks for my junior and Year 11 students. Apart from that, I am a keen Family Historian and love to go to the movies - when time permits.
