Education
I am considered an organised and experienced nurse with experience in teaching face to face and online. I can help you develop professionally, academically and clinically and provide you with guidance to help you succeed. I currently tutor and mark assessments in non-clinical nursing subjects such as communication, health promotion, nursing law, psychology, science, ethics. My work in clinical subjects includes: Clinical skill development in all areas (vital signs, dressings, medication administration), OSCEs and verbal assessments such as handover. I have a number of qualifications and am always studying and completing CPD. I have the following qualifications: - Masters of Advanced Practice, Education - Graduate Certificate X3 - Bachelor of Nursing - Certificate IV Training and Assessment - Graduate Certificate in Health Education My clinical and academic experience assist me to provide current knowledge to patient care while my experience as a student and a tutor and marker allows me to apply a level of understanding to university processes, academic, clinical and professional requirements. Due to teaching commitments, email contact or online tutoring is best, however, I am able to meet face to face if preferred, particularly with challenging or clinical concepts. I am happy to meet at a library or coffee shop.
Experience
I am an experienced university tutor and clinical nurse educator with more than 5 years teaching experience in both the university and hospital setting. I also have extensive clinical experience in both general and specialty areas with over 15 years working as a RN and 2 years as an AIN before that. My clinical experience extends across the public and private health systems in NSW which allows me to have a great deal of experience and understanding of the current needs and expectations of nursing students and new graduate nurses. I believe in preparing students to succeed at university so that they are prepared to succeed and excel as a New Graduate RN. Therefore, I am not offering to write an assignment or do online exams for you. If you want to succeed, you are best to do this yourself and I will guide you to do that. I am happy to do: - Study plans for assessments - Review and proof reading of your work - Referencing assistance - OSCE practice - Medication calculations practice - English language practice - verbal and written - Interview prep - Exam prep There are many time pressures and expectations within the current systems that can lead to unwarranted stress and anxiety for students. Therefore, I aim to assist students to overcome this and to be able to strategise the process of learning so that it is fulfilling. I am available for once off advice or for regular tutoring.
