Education

I took the GED test in 2013 as a high school student and received a total score of 3370 as well as an average score of 674. I took AP English Composition and Calculus in high school in the U.S. My cumulative high school GPA was 4.33/4.0. My SAT score was Reading 580 - Math 670 - Writing 670 in 2013. I also graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University with a BA in History and Global Studies with a 3.97/4 GPA and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Anthropology at the University of Sydney.

Experience

I love working as a tutor because it allows me to accompany others in overcoming challenges and achieving greater milestones in their academic journey. I have had several gratifying tutoring experiences in the past at the university and adult learning levels. I served as a Diamond Peer Teacher in America for a U.S. History university seminar (Temple University) in my third year of undergraduate studies. I assisted the lecturer in the seminar, coordinated class activities, and held weekly tutoring sessions for small groups of students. I also have experience leading English classes for adults coming from different countries and backgrounds who did not have any prior knowledge of English. My academic strength is in reading, writing, literature, composition, history, politics, and other social sciences. I also offer English language tutoring for non-English speakers, Mandarin Chinese classes, and Vietnamese language classes.

Hobbies

I would say I have a studious and learning soul and I am gratified for being able to study what I care about in the past and until now. I love reading and engaging in history, political issues, and social debates. I also love the language arts and I am apt to acquiring new language skills. I also love traveling, the nature, and outdoor activities. I love experiencing new places and new cultures to gain a better understanding of development in different locality and places across the world. When I need a break from studying and moving, I love a nice cup of hot beverage (I could also offer tea and coffee brewing lessons if you need!) over jigsaw or long TV dramas.
