Education

Completed a Pharmacology Degree with a a minor in anatomy at the University of New South Wales . Current WAM of previous semester attained was 84 (distinction) average along with the previous semesters .

Experience

My experience in tutoring began during my senior high school years, when top academic achievers were nominated to help tutor other students during consultation times. After completing my senior high school in 2008 ,I worked as a self sponsored tutor preparing senior high school students for their final exams. In the end 4/ 7 students scored grade A's in the chemistry and biology and on top received positive feedback form parents with their students improving their marks by at least 10% and more. I now hold a Bachelor of science degree Majoring in Phamacology with minor anatomy . Science presents a broad spectrum of knowledge and is apart of our everyday lives .It is everywhere with everything , the air we breath, the food we eat is all science. I love learning and believe we keep learning everyday whether its at school ,work or anywhere really, and this is what makes tutoring to me become more than just a task but enjoyable and valuable . My area of specialization at the moment is pharmacology- the study of drugs and their mechanisms which is very research orientated as is it involves the analysis of patho-physiology of different diseases and techniques that could optimized in order to synthesize therapeutic medicines and products. These subjects prepared me to further continue with my degree program allowing me to do what I do best till this day :). At Top Achievemnt(my company), I certainly love to encourage students and everyone in general to be optimistic and enjoy what they are doing as they learn . With such a field I find teamwork very helpful and valuable as you get a chance to discuss different aspects , points and objectives and makes your work more enjoyable . This is why I also think tutoring is a good way learning because students get the chance to discuss and express their different points of view and difficulty as opposed to if they were working alone . I've also completed a lot of other courses such as molecular biology, biochemistry , physiology and anatomy courses and through out my years of uni I've enjoyed every step of it :)as I saw the relevance of each course. So I'm hoping by tutoring these courses I'd be of great help at the same time motivate students interested in pursuing medical science or science related career . Over my four years at UNSW I've gained a wide range of knowledge theoretically and practically especially during our labs and in 2012 summer was given the opportunity to work with the Lowry Cancer Research Center where I attained a wide range of practical skills that are used in research today such as PCR's ,micro arraying , cell culturing ,pi petting skills ,gel electrophoresis and imaging. Lastly on top of my skills and good grades ,I'm a very outgoing and social person and enjoy interacting with a diverse range of people. I've participated in a few charity events and represented charity organizations cancer council fund raising for women with breast cancer. .
