Education
I graduated in 2012 with a score of 45. I am currently studying an undergraduate Law degree at the University of Sydney having just completed my Bachelor of Arts, majoring in International Relations. I have worked at a top tier law firm as a paralegal for three years. Due to my busy schedule I have become incredibly efficient at planning and managing my time - an often overlooked but critical skill I teach to all of my students.
Experience
Since the IB I have tutored for five years with all of my students achieving top bands. While I predominantly teach English, I focus on a holistic approach to study, teaching skills that are useful in all IB subjects and Internal Assessments. Due to the importance of writing within the IB, I help and plan most IA's and EE's for students. A lot of teachers unfortunately do not give the guidance necessary to properly structure study/notes/responses to maximise results in the most effective way. I focus on the individual needs of the students by creating a study schedule for ALL subjects and work with them to refine and learn new skills. This schedule I believe will help students prioritise aspects of their life and leave time for family and friends. This will minimise procrastination and be updated weekly to suit their changing schedules/assessments. Knowing what to study and what not to waste your time on is imperative in ensuring that you do not burn out at what is a really critical point in their lives. I am also a debating coach so if there are any speeches or issues with public speaking, I am happy to help. This is a very stressful time for any student and I will do whatever I can to make this period as stress free as possible.
