Experience
I have been tutoring students since 2012 in Preliminary and HSC Mathematics Advanced and Mathematics Extension 1, as I had accelerated my HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and 2 in 2011 (Yr 11) and achieved a Band 6 in both of them. I also achieved a Band 6 in Biology and Chemistry in 2012 (Yr 12). In 2013 I began conducting my own private tutoring as well as working for a number of tutoring companies. The reason why I want to become a HSC tutor is because I know what the HSC markers look for in exams and I use the tips and skills I have as well as the knowledge I possess to maximise your marks in the HSC. Mastering the HSC is not just about knowing your syllabus content, its about using simple skills and techniques alongside to gain the most marks possible, and many HSC tutors highly focus on making sure their student learns the content alone. I also base my tutoring experience with students on a personal level. It is highly important, in my view, for a tutor to form a relationship with the student, so that they are more confident to ask questions and speak out when assistance or more understanding is required. With my tutoring comes many resources, including notes, questions and past HSC exams with answers, and I also provide students with material from HSC textbooks so they don't have to buy a copy of the textbook.
