Private tutor in Sydney, Australia
Hello, My name is Simon and I am studying Medicine at UNSW with a Distinction Average. I have tutored over 40 students in HSC Mathematics, HSC Mathematics Extension 1, HSC Mathematics Extension 2, IB Mathematics SL and UMAT. Over years of tutoring, I've developed a distinct, three stage system to maximise your exam marks. How I step through these stages depends very much on your strengths and weaknesses in maths. 1. Consolidate core mathematical principles with textbook level questions. 2. Apply concepts on exam style questions from HSC questions 3. Develop advanced problem solving techniques by deconstructing questions at a university level. If you're interested in what tutoring with me would look like, please get in touch via UniversityTutors and I'll be happy to have a chat about your challenges and goals and how I'd structure my lessons!

I have also been working as private tutor in Maths and Physics since end of 2012. Aside from studying Medicine at UNSW, I also actively volunteer. I was a Consulting-Director with the UNSW branch of 180 Degrees Consulting, an international student run consulting service for not-for-profits. In this position I am responsible for acquiring not-for-profit clients, helping them identify issues in their organisation, and finding a solution to these issues. I like to divide my spare time between keeping up with friends, improving myself mentally and improving myself physically. I like to continually learn new skills, and currently I am focused on reading more on economics, and improving my mandarin (I am a cantonese speaker by birth). On the more physical side, I regularly go to the gym and also play golf and tennis on occasion.
