Education
I earned my graduate degree in German as a foreign language from the Herder Institute at the University of Leipzig. Later I taught as a Lecturer at Sydney University for 10 years until 2018. From then on I decided to be a Freelancer and teach one on one. These days I am in Germany and teach one on one sessions on Skype. My students are from all around the world. My focus is on their needs and I tailor classes, so I can assist them best to achieve their goal.
Experience
I am a native German and I speak English, Spanish, and German fluently. I have ten years of instructional experience teaching all levels of German at the University of Sydney. I have been teaching German in a one-on-one online learning environment as a language tutor for six years. I prepare students for German exams A, B, and C Level (HSC and University). I also work with students who are taking German courses as part of the Advanced Placement (AP) program such as AP German Language and Culture. Additionally, I offer test prep tutoring for other standardized exams related to the German language such as the SAT Subject Test in German and the CLEP German. I also teach German for those who wish to learn the language for leisure or business outside of the academic system.
