I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Trent University in Canada. I then earned my Master of Science degree from the University of Sydney. I went on to earn my Master of Education degree from the University of Sydney. Finally, I earned my Ph.D. degree from the Curtin University of Perth.

I have worked as a private biology tutor in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. I have taught Biology in Sydney for the past 30 years. I have also been a marker of the HSC Biology examinations.
