I hold an advanced diploma in translating English to Mandarin. I also earned my bachelor's degree at the Shanghai International Studies University in China. I studied for my master's at the University of Sydney.
Experience
I have been tutoring TOEFL at the Overseas Oriental Language Training School since 2014. My personal TOEFL IBT score was 110. I completed four PTEs with scores in the 90s in 2017. I achieved NAATI Level 3 in Translation of English to Mandarin. I am equipped to help students master Mandarin Chinese or prepare for the TOEFL. I customize my approach based on my student's goals and needs. If they are interested in learning Mandarin Chinese for travel, we can go over common vocabulary, cultural events, and more. We can work on proper pronunciation as well. I can incorporate a variety of activities and resources that can accommodate different learning styles as my student works on reading or writing.
