Education
I completed my Bachelor of Medical Science (Adv) degree with a major in Medicinal Chemistry in 2017. I was awarded the Dean's Medal as the top 2% graduant in my cohort. I have developed a strong interest in Chemitry since my first year of university. I have spent time to understand the deeper concepts of Chemistry since then by participating in various chemistry projects to broaden my knowledge. I have gained summer research scholarships in the year of 2014 and 2015 to work on projects to develop alternative anticancer chemical compounds. I have extensive tutoring experiences in various first year, second year, and third year chemistry units. I am passionate in helping students to gain deeper understanding of chemistry and improve their grades. I customise my teaching style to suit my students and follow their pace as I understand that each student learns differently . My interests include Organic chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Pharmacological Chemistry.
Experience
I have been a PASS facilitator for Western Sydney University (Campbelltown Campus) since early 2015. My duties as a PASS facilitator are to facilitate group study in first year Chemistry students and ensure that they gain a deeper understanding in the units by providing fun activities during the group study sessions. I have been a University ITAS tutor since early 2015. ITAS is a university program that provides tutoring services to Indigenous and Aboriginal students.
