Education

I have a bachelor's degree in IT with full credit. I have a master's degree in psych and an MBA with distinction. I am an MPH and Ph.D. candidate in medicine. I also have a Diploma of Freelance Journalism. I am a certified Tiny Habits Coach.

Experience

I have tutored kids from kindergarten with the basics of reading and spelling, through to high school seniors and graduate students writing research papers, formal presentations, and technical documents. I tutor many areas including essay editing, study skills, handwriting, reading, and more. I can be your spelling coach or help you learn to speed read. Typically I don't teach subjects, I teach students, so they can build great habits and get the best out of themselves in all of their subjects. I just love helping people revise any blocks or unhelpful habits that might be hindering their progress, develop a love of learning, and discover the best way for them to learn and write well with as much ease as possible. I believe that student burnout is a silent epidemic in schools and universities. Stressed-out, sleep-deprived kids are told to manage their time better and study harder, but they're never shown how. I prioritize student wellbeing, helping students develop their own self-care skills and self-organization habits to support immediate and long-term academic performance. My research on student burnout has been viewed in 34 countries, and my methods have been adopted by psychologists, startups, and physicians around the world.

Hobbies

I work online and in person. I pretty much love netflix, stealth-health-foods, trampolining and musical comedy. Experienced working with Fortune 500 families, athletes, entrepreneurs, youth at risk, and kids with auditory processing, learning and behavioral difficulties. Difficult kids are easier to work with in person, but online can be surprisingly effective, too. I've also had quite a bit of experience doing research and clinical work with burnout, stress, ADHD, PTSD and chronic invisible illness (both physical and mental), so if that kind of thing affects you or your family, I look forward to meeting you. This is tutoring, of course, but my counselling and youth at risk background comes in very handy. Lots of people finally find me after they've tried everything else.
