Education
I earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Nanjing University of Science and Technology (a Chinese educational institution) with a GPA of 3.82/4.0 that earned me a University Medal. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Technology in Sydney with APA and IPRS scholarships. My research focus is on the seismic protection of civil infrastructures with smart isolation systems.
Experience
I have been tutoring Structural Analysis and Engineering Computation (Excel and VBA programming skills) at UTS for four semesters, so I understand how to explain both subjects to students. I also tutored Structural Dynamics for two semesters and have private tutoring experience working with high school students preparing for HSC Maths and physics exams. I am confident in my oral English and Mandarin Chinese and can teach in either language. I am also an accomplished writer who has published three journal articles and won two three-minute thesis competitions and best paper awards at international research conferences.

Hobbies
During my leisure time, I am quite sporty so I enjoying outdoor activities such as bush-walking, hiking, cycling, etc. I also love swimming and climbing. Meanwhile, I am good at playing the piano and know a little bit about guitar and have the certificate of level ten amateur pianist. Reading and watching movies are my hobbies as well.
