Education

I have a Bachelor of Arts in History from Sydney University. I also majored in international relations and minored in math. I earned first-class honors at the Australian National University. There, I studied political science and ethics. My thesis was on applying a cosmopolitanism ethical framework to peacekeeping interventions, with a focus on EU operations. My final GPA was 6.9/7.0. I am currently studying for an MD at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney.

Experience

I have more than two years of experience tutoring university and high school students, with a key focus on writing. I have also personally completed 7 years of university study, solely focused on writing, and achieved a GAMSAT Section II score of 91. All of my students have significantly improved their section II marks and gained confidence in approaching this section. In addition to academic writing, I have an extensive employment history of writing, including writing for the Department of Defense Graduate Program on international policy and military strategy in 2009 and being a Department of Defense Policy Officer and Advisor for International Policy Development in the United Nations, Africa, Peacekeeping, and the Middle East. I believe written communication skills are invaluable for life, from writing an essay to completing a job application. In particular, I enjoy supporting students to develop the necessary skills to approach any written task confidently.

Hobbies

It's a little old fashioned, but I enjoy teaching friends how to sew and knit. I also enjoy doing a wide variety of arts and crafts projects. My favourite study break is going for a long run and listening to music. I also think it's important to spend as much time as possible with friends and family. I love taking my niece and her cavoodle puppy to the park.
