Experience
I have experience working as an educational technologist developing maths games and maths video animations to make maths more engaging in the classroom for private and government schools. Most of my spare time is spent reading about the beauty of maths in architecture and art and the application of maths so I can pass on the information to my students and give maths 'wow' factor! I am currently a college maths teacher and I tutor students in middle school and high school math. Working with students in a one-on-one setting allows me to focus my attention on their specific learning concerns. This is particularly useful for students who are struggling with a maths concept because it allows us to slow down and go at a pace with which they are comfortable. We then have time to try a variety of instructional approaches until the student is able to work through the problems on their own.
