Nicolas W.
Private tutor in Sydney, Australia
Education
I completed the University of New South Wales Foundation equivalent to the Years 11 and 12 curricula of an Australian high school. I achieved a GPA of 9.5 as well as an A for mathematics and an A+ for both physics and chemistry. I also completed a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of New South Wales which I finished with a distinction average. I scored a high distinction, which is only given to 5% of all students, for all my pure mathematics courses. Having achieved a distinction average means that I was able to cope with all the challenging courses and adapt accordingly, which is an essential skill for tackling new problems as a tutor.
Experience
I enjoy working as a tutor because it gives me the opportunity to help students improve their grades. Sometimes all a student needs is the right motivation and a proper explanation of the concepts they find challenging in order to perform well. I have been working as a tutor for one and a half years, providing assistance to a number of students in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. I prepare well before all my classes by going through all the questions I will give to the students, and I would never take a tutoring job if I didn't feel confident in my abilities to teach the content and answer the questions because I have no intention to waste the time and money of my students.
