Education
I am doing a bachelor degree of Science/ Education (Secondary) at University of New South Wales and I am in my third year. Basically, it is a teaching degree and my methodology is mathematics which means I would become a high-school math teacher after I graduate. During the course of my study, I have successfully done two teaching placements. For the first one, I was assisting teaching at a support unit where I learned how to communicate with students with special needs and welfare issues. In my second placement, I was taking 1/3 of a full-time teacher's workload and worked at an actual high school for a month which taught me much more than I had even learned at uni.
Experience
I have done actual teaching in high schools (I taught classes of up to 30 kids) for my degree and received great feedback from both students and my supervising teachers. Throughout the placements, I developed a deep understanding of what is efficient teaching and learning and how to use different proactive and reactive approaches to assist the process of learning. Besides, I profoundly practiced on my teaching techniques: how to make the content easier for students from a certain group to understand, what methods of explaining mathematics would make students feel more intrigued and relevant to it, and most importantly, how to build a positive rapport with students so that learning is more fun and effective. I also differentiate my lessons according to individual student's learning ability for the best learning result. I have done private tutoring before but now I am equipped with professional knowledge in not only math but also ways of teaching which is why I decided to restart doing tutoring for high school students. I am also more than happy to present you with my Working with Children Check and Anaphylaxis Certificate if needed.

Hobbies
I enjoy a lot of outdoor activities: bushwalking, hiking, jogging, going to the beach etc. and I focus on health and wellbeing which is why I also enjoy going to the gym (fitness) and creating my own healthy recipes. Overall, I spend a lot of my spare time on being active. I find going on a camp trip/ hike with friends a great way to catch up and connect with them as well. In addition, I am a huge fan of Modern Family, a TV show (mocumentary) featuring three different families. Each episode has a meaningful and heart-warming ending and the show really reminds me of my own family sometimes which is why I have watched all 8 seasons at least 3 times.
